About Dr. Echavez

Dr. Michael Echavez received his undergraduate degree from UC Berkeley, and his medical degree from UC San Francisco. Following medical school, Dr. Echavez remained at UCSF to complete two years of general surgery and four years of head and neck surgery residency training.

He subsequently completed a year of specialized fellowship training in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery in Cincinnati, through the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

Dr. Echavez is board certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Recontructive Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery.

He is an active member of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, has lectured to groups throughout the country and published scientific medical papers. In addition, he has been an invited guest as an expert on facial plastic surgery on various Bay Area radio and television programs and been interviewed for articles concerning plastic surgery in Bay Area newspapers and national magazines.

Dr. Echavez is also a national trainer and instructs other physicians in cosmetic procedures.
