Dr. Echavez is fantastic! I was a bit nervous at first about having any cosmetic procedure, but he carefully explained everything and there was no pressure to do it. He is exceptionally knowledgeable and helpful. I first did the coolsculpting and was very pleased with the results. I went back to have it done in other areas – all with great results. I also had Dr. Echavez perform blepharoplasty on my droopy eye lids. I was really nervous about that because of the plastic surgery horror stories you hear about. However, when I was checking into the hospital, EVERY one I met at the hospital raved about his careful and professional work. The head nurse said he was everyone’s choice for the blepharoplasty procedure because he is so methodical and careful to achieve a very natural-looking result… just enough but not too much. And, they were correct – he did a wonderful job in making my heavy eye-lids and bags under my eyes look SO MUCH better. People tell me I look 10 years younger now (they don’t know about the blepharosplasty because it doesn’t show at all). Anyway, if you are considering coolsculpting, botox, blepharoplasty or other cosmetic procedure, please check out Dr. Michael Echavez. I’m sure you will be delighted with the results!

Dr. E is very knowledgeable and fair. He doesn’t push you to do unnecessary procedures. He has an incredible office location and great staff. He is a creative yet highly professional artist who looks at your whole facial structure and gives you realistic expectations. His gentle kindness is a relief if you are squeamish with injectables. Good guy who does excellent work. Very competent without being Beverly Hills flashy about it. He can initially come across as being a bit cold, but that’s really more a reflection of his low-key nature. Extra points for the fact that his office assistant is very easy on the eyes, too (but won’t give me the time of day, probably because I had to put my real age on the paperwork I filled out there). Highly recommended.

Dr. Echavez is an honest, REAL, person who works with clients collaboratively, unlike many other surgeons who are in age-denial, superficiality land. He will patiently describe various treatment modalities when you inquire but will never push anything on you. I have been seeing him for around 8 years for Sculpra Aesthetic treatments as I was no longer a good candidate for Restalyne according to another Dr. who referred me to Dr. Echavez, the reason being I needed too many Restalyne treatments to make a difference, and that would make it very costly. Although Sculpra does not last as long as I would have liked on me (maybe only 6-8 months) I am pleased with the results of more fullness in the somewhat hollowed-out areas of my face. (I have a thin face to begin with). As I have ruled out plastic surgery as an option that feels right for me, I will plan on continuing to see Dr. Echavez for this particular treatment!

Can’t really say enough good about Dr E — beautiful office of course, but his demenor, expertise and humor makes the visits (and the outcome) among the best in the city. He gives a great assessment (and an honest one) allowing you voice your opinions and desires, but reflects them with an honest assessment — a great back and forth — and you end up with what you need — very fair pricing……….. There are a lot of choices in the city, but Dr E’s the only one I consider.

I was a former employee of Dr. Echavez as his clinical esthetician. I can sincerely say that, as a 51 yr old female, I have never worked with a kinder,more respectful ‘boss”. He treated me as his equal and was never condescending, like most can be in that position. I was also a patient of his. I have yet to find a clinic/nurse/doctor that can give me that ‘brow lift’ like Dr. E! I haven’t lived in SF for many years, so it’s difficult for me to get to him, but I can highly reccomend this man. Not only is he a very good cosmetic surgeon, he is a decent human being with a stellar character!

I move a lot, so I’ve gone to a bunch of doctors for botox and fillers over the course of the past 7 years. But I’m so glad I’m back in the bay to come back to Dr. Echavez. Dr. Echavez brings a level of taste and competence to the whole world of “New Beauty” style self improvement that I haven’t seen in any of the other doctors I’ve had in NYC, LA, or Boston. For example, at a recent trip to his office I asked him about a few of the latest treatments that I read about–and I was prepared to get them if he deemed it worthwhile. He was honest with me, and told me it didn’t make sense to get those procedures yet…even though it might have meant money to him in the short term. Also, I like that he does mini consultations with me every time I see him just to make sure I agree with his plan for injection placements–even though they are always very natural looking, with or without my input. I’ve been to many a (well meaning, but too rushed) doctor that just jumped immediately into poking me with syringes willy nilly. Not only is his skill top notch. He’s also very affordable. I often go into see him with a plan on how much I want to spend. I’ll say something like, “400 bucks, but I want forehead and crow’s feet.” And every time, he makes it work with my budget. Magic man:) Dr. Echavez strikes me as having too much class to ever actually self merchandise, hence the surprisingly low number of reviews on Yelp! thus far. But this is a clear case of being under appreciated, or of his current patients being strategic enough to keep their secret to themselves. But I figure I’ll be a nice girl and share…Pssst, five stars!

This review is long over due. Dr. Echavez removed a large, dark, freckle spot off the bridge of my nose. Removing the spot off the bridge part of my nose, requires careful skill. Not easy suturing a tight area like the bridge of my nose! The procedure was done beautifully and painless. Thank you so much! My apologies for this over due review, and again, thank you so much!

I have been seeing Dr Echavez for over 2.5 years ever since I saw him back in April 2014 when he (perfectly) fixed a Belotero job that a SF dermatologist had placed incorrectly. He is very talented with his work and also very kind. His office assistant Karla is also great. They never fail to call after any visit and they genuinely care about your results, pocketbook, appearance and feelings. I highly recommend.

I’ve been going to Dr. Echavez for the past 20 or so years and I have to say that I wouldn’t go anywhere else. I’ve had multiple procedures done at his office. I Look Fantastic! – San Francisco, CA I can sum up this reveiw in a few short sentences. I was turned on to Dr. Echavez by a couple of very close friends of mine. We were at lunch and were talking about cosmetic (botox) procedures that they had done within the past year. The two of them looked rested and fresh. That’s when I thought, ” I want to look rested as well.” I asked for the number and made an appointment that very day. A few days later I had the procedure done. I was in and out of that office within a half hour! It was that fast and convenient! I’ve been back every 6 months or so for the past 6 years and let me tell you, “It’s worth every penny.’

Pleased with my results for sunken cheeks via Juvederm Voluma/tear troughs via Restylane I am 28 years old, an age I thought was too young to consider any type of procedures. After recently losing 20 pounds and back to the weight I was in my early twenties, I was shocked at what the fat loss did to the contours of my face! I have been feeling SO desperate and wanting to return to how I once looked. I look SO GAUNT now. After much research I finally pulled the trigger with injectables. Dr Echavez seems almost indifferent and business-like, he was not pushy at all. He is not what you would call warm. I felt like I had to ask a lot of questions he should have offered up, but thankfully I had done my research. He was honest about his opinions; consultation very brief. I relied on his expertise on my hollow tear trough for recommendation: Restalyne. I had to be the one asking about Sculptra and Juvederm Voluma, but he probably would have recommended. He told me both would end up having the same results. At the last minute, I changed my mind about my appointment for Sculptra (they need to know in advance because it takes a day to mix the Sculptra) and switched to Juvederm Voluma. Sculptra provides gradual results and I honestly want immediate ones. I hated looking in the mirror. Procedures: The doctor was professional, though once again I had to ask and ask nervously about the procedures. It didn’t take long at all and didn’t really hurt that much at all. Just pokes, and he numbs you before the HA filler. He used one syringe per cheek. Very pleased with the Juvederm Voluma results on my cheeks! He rounded out the apples of my cheeks, near my nose which I wasn’t expecting but I’m not the expert; I would have just filled in the sunken hollows. The effect has the area around my nose and upper lip thicker than I’m used to but ultimately I’m happy. I was told there shouldn’t be much swelling, so I will update and be hopeful for the following days. No bruising. Am able to put on makeup and am going to work 3 hours after. As for the under eye tear troughs, his expertise led him to use not even a full half-syringe for both. He is saving the rest for when I come back again, which I’m certain I will. Well….It is less hollow under my eyes to be sure, but it’s hard to tell with the light bruising. So far, the results aren’t dramatic but improved. I didn’t expect to be blown away, recalling other reviews of under-eye fillers used for volume. I’ll keep updated. He also did inject under the muscle! I’ve read terrifying reviews about doctors who injected too shallowly, and not under. I will see how it is after 2 weeks of settling. I am still considering a couple rounds of Sculptra as well. He explained the longevity of Sculptra but also how many sessions it would take. I’m glad I decided to get the results today instead of being disappointed about Sculptra after the first week’s swelling went down, and having to go back again and again. Definitely returning as needed, though.

I Am Happy with It After 4 Treatments I did not expect Scuptra to turn me into George Clooney and I had very realistic expectations. I just wanted the un-natural sunken ‘valleys’ on my cheeks to be filled in. After four treatments, I am quite happy with the results and I have not experienced side effects described in here. I had some pin sized bruisings but they went away within days. I had my treatments from April to July 2009.
