Dr. Echavez uses a new, non-animal based filler called Restylane to help treat those fine lines, wrinkles, folds, and creases. Restylane uses a biodegradable gel that’s composed of hyaluronic acid. This filler adds volume to the skin through small injections rather than a single big one. In turn, this evens out facial folds and wrinkles.
Restylane is a non-animal based filler that is effective in treating those skin imperfections which form as you age. Restylane can also be used to restore the volume of the skin under your eyes, enhance your cheekbones, and aid in chin augmentation. This is a fantastic non-surgical way to ensure that your facial proportions are well-balanced and reverse the aging effects. However, individual results may vary, so be sure to converse with Dr. Echavez about the results you are looking for.
The Procedure Before your treatment, you will be evaluated by Dr. Echavez to ensure that you are in good health, and he will take the results you are looking for into consideration. This is all during the initial evaluation that he will perform. The treatment is done right at Dr. Echavez’s office with the use of a local anesthetic to ensure there is no discomfort throughout. He will then inject the Restylane under your skin using DermaSculpt’s microcannula to reduce the amount of downtime, pain, and bruising that can occur. The treatment approach is very gradual, ensuring that your fine lines and wrinkles are all treated to your desired satisfaction. Once the procedure is done, you can return to your normal activities that same day with minimal discomfort.
What Areas Can Be Treated With Restylane? There are several kinds of Restylane that can be used for different areas of your face. This includes lips, cheeks, facial folds, and wrinkles. They’re all hyaluronic acid–based fillers, but each one was designed with a different specific purpose.

What Is DermaSculpt’s Microcannula? DermaSculpt is a very blunt and flexible tip that makes filler injections more comfortable and safe for patients. It does not cut through blood vessels or nerves, leaving you in less pain or discomfort. Dr. Echavez has integrated this technique to ensure that his procedure leaves you with no bruising, pain, downtime, or swelling. Rather than being confined to just one area, the design of the microcannula allows one site of injection to deliver the filler wherever it is needed to help collagen growth.
Recovery from Restylane Once Dr. Echavez has performed the procedure, he will go over with you how to care for your skin for the best possible outcome and results. For the first few days after the initial treatment, some patients may experience some redness, swelling, tenderness, bruising, and itching. These symptoms can take up to a week to dissipate, but they do not prevent patients from participating in work and other activities the same day as their treatment.
